The Palmer House at Dogwood Farms
breeds beautiful, well-conformed,
show quality Tennessee Walking Horses in Texas.

We are showcasing our performance show horse, Stormy’s Bad Company.  This magnificent gelding is winning blues and claiming championship in ever stake class he has entered this season.  Our trainer, Don Crum, has prepared and shown Stormy’s Bad Company to wins at Marshall Lions Club Horse show, Texas Spring Classic, Big D. Now we are off to Germantown, Tennessee in June.

The Palmer House has moved to Dogwood Farms in LaRue, Texas. We are now located about fifteen miles southeast of Athens, Texas. This beautiful facility will be featured on the web page as it continues to grow.
We raise performance horses that demonstrate the talent, beauty and temperament of a true show horse. We breed selectively to proven stallions, carefully choosing broodmares that will complement the stallion in each area.
Many of our colts have been sold as yearlings; some as weanlings, and some we have had trained and sold as two-year-old performance horses.
Our broodmares descend from world champion bloodlines, including "Pride's Ultra Threat", "Pride's Generator", "Carbon Copy", "Ebony Masterpiece" "Delight Bumin' Around", "Ebony's Threat A.", among others. The mares are bred for spring and fall foaling.
Their colts are by "Gen's Armed and Dangerous", "Hard Texas Cash", "Jubilee's Rising Star", "Black Rain" and "Generator's My Papa".  The two-year-old colts are in training and will be shown this season under saddle.
We always have well-bred beautiful babies that make us proud. Our colts are futurity nominated nationally and in the southwest region futurities.
Check out our new videos of J. Stanley Star, and Just Say Jubilee.
Also we have 3 mares bred to a donkey, Roscoe, as a favor to W. L. and Paula, who have wanted gaited mules! One mare will produce a little mule in December and will be quite shocked, I’m sure, to see a long-eared foal. She is the dam of “PaPaKea Maui”.
We sell quality fertilized coastal Bermuda horse hay in round and square bales. Also we will feature custom smoked meats and Texas style catering from the farm.

Beauregard Is Armed - photo by PJ Wamble

Beauregard Is Armed is the stallion of the farm and has bred “Pushover’s Elvira”, “Coin’s Fantastic”, and “Cash for the Future”. Two of the babies are due in October and one in February. We’re anxious to see what our handsome stallion will produce and will share the pictures with you as soon as they are foaled.

As we have been building and moving to our new home, we’ve been too busy to show horses this season, but hope to show our new foals next year.

We always welcome visitors to our farm and cordially invite you to visit, if you are in our area. Thank you for visiting our site.
