After spending most of his
life with horses, W. L. Palmer decided that he would make use of all the
horseshoes he had accumulated over the years,
instead of just paying for them to be put onto the hoofs
of the horses he's owned. With encouragement from his family and
friends he started making art projects with the shoes.

He has been welding
for years, and
recently bought a new welder
to complete the fencing on Dogwood Farms. Now in the
winter he has had time to focus on the horseshoe
products he designed. |
|
All the shoes had
to be separated according to size and shape, cleaned of the dirt
and rust, horseshoe nails removed, and shaped again. A timely
task for the multitude of shoes that had been in boxes and
buckets for years.

All items
are done in black,
rust, or silver Hammerite paint, which is a very hard, rust
preventing paint.
