NEWS, EVENTS AND SHOW RESULTS

My dear husband, W. L. Palmer, who will be seventy-two in June and is the love of my life, rides our Beauregard is Armed and is the BEST. He rode J. Stanley Star at the 2003 Celebration and Just Say Jubilee in the 70 and over Class.  What a winner!

J. Stanley Star placed 2nd at the Chester County TN Horse Show in the Open Lite Shod Class, with Don Crum riding, last Saturday, May 16th.  Hope to have some pictures soon. We didn't get to go, but Don said he'll try to get the pictures.

We did show at The Big "D" Charity Show in Dallas.  Beauregard Is Armed and W. L. got 2nd in the Four Year Old Amateur Class.

J. Stanley Star  got 2nd in Open Lite Shod Class.  Beauregard Is Armed and Stanley will be going to the Germantown TN horse show in June.

Stanley and W.
L. won 2 blues
at NTASHA show in Las Colinas

This is W. L. and Stormy's Bad Company at the Big D Charity Horse show.  He rode in the ProAm class with Don and won 2nd.  Great ride, good class.

Stormy's Bad Company and Don Crum won the preliminary class for the stake horses and took second in the championship at the Marshall show.  He really is a winning show horse!

Our horses have been showing and doing well.  Just Say Jubilee won a blue in show pleasure and a red with Micah in the championship at the East Texas Walking and Racking horse show in Marshall, Texas and W. L and Beau won 2nd in the 4 year old amateur class.
J. Stanley Star won two 3rd place ribbons at Germantown, Tenn. and W. L. and Beauregard Is Armed won 4th in the 4 year old amateur class at Germantown.

Just Say Jubilee won the championship Show Pleasure class at Farmerville, LA. July 17.  What a horse!

We enjoyed the Celebration.  J. Stanley Star won 2 ribbons...10th with W. L. and 6th with Don Crum in Lite Shod classes.  Stanley is proving to be a real winning horse.

Steel The One has been sent to the trainer and is doing great.

J. Stanley Star won a blue ribbon at the Hanesville, Louisiana show Saturday, 25th.
He is really good, even in the rain and mud!

We will be showing Beauregard Is Armed and J. Stanley Star at Las Colinas in Dallas, October 2-3.

J. Stanley Star and W. L. won 2 blues at NTASHA show in Las Colinas. Stanley won Lite-Shod 4 and Under Open, and Amateur classes.

W. L. and Beauregard Is Armed at NTASHA placed fourth in the Amateur 4 year old padded performance horse.

J. Stanley Star WHOA high point 3rd place Plantation Pleasure Lite-Shod.  Awesome lite-shod horse!

J. Stanley Star won the Lite-shod championship at Marshall, Tx.

Just Say Jubilee won a second and fourth in the Marshall Show, Walking Horse Open classes with Don Crum up. Great show.

J. Stanley Star won the open and  stakes classes [Plantation Pleasure Lite-Shod] at the Louisiana Jubilee Horse Show, Monroe, LA. Saturday. He placed third in the amateur division with W. L. up. He will be in the Walking Horse Report when the Monroe show is featured.

We also showed our 2 year old filly, Steel The One, for the first time.  She placed 4th in her debut. This was her first time to be away from home and the training barn so she was a bit nervous but carried on and did quite well.  She will make a great padded 2 year old.

Beauregard won Blue at the Houston Walking Racking horse show last weekend in Lufkin, TX.  We didn't get to go but Don Crum rode him in the Park Performance class and won!  We are so proud.

Don is taking Stanley to Jackson, Mississippi this weekend.  We can't go to that one either since we are diligently working on the new facility and paddocks at Dogwood Farms.  Hopefully we will make it to Big D and show 2 or 3 horses.

Stormy’s Bad Company was in top form at the Marshall Texas Lions Club Charity Show. He won both the Open Walking Horse canter class and the Stake Walking Horse Championship with Don Crum riding. His next show will be at the Texas Spring Classic in Nacogdoches, Texas.

We are expecting another foal in April 2008, out of “Cash In the Future”, and by Beauregard.

Beauregardless and Ram Beau, the yearling colts, will be going into training with Don Crum this spring. We are anxious to see how talented Beau’s first offspring will be. Both colts are very strong and healthy and will be offered for sale while in training.

Our walking mule colt is really growing and pretty. He was one year old in December 2007 and will be cart and wagon trained as well as ridden under saddle.

Our farm lost 2 dogs in 2007: Pape’, our standard poodle, and Belle the Kurth’s
Labrador. Both dogs loved the farm and we were saddened by their passing.
